Based on the androgynous style of Amelia Earhart, Heritage Research have produced their first collection for women. All garments in the Heritage Research collection are based on actual clothing pictured on Amelia during the 1920’s and 30’s. At first Amelia borrowed silhouettes from horseback riders, race-car drivers and motorcyclists, later adapting jodhpurs, goggles and the USAAF leather jackets, among other items. Other pieces reference her sartorial style away from the airfield where she could be seen in tailored English riding jackets, breeks and blouses or redefining work clothing of the era such as oversized shirts and mens brogues.
