Hannah Turner

Hannah Turner is a ceramics designer based in Bristol. She started her company in 1991, following on from her sell-out degree show. She sold her animal-themed pieces in galleries and shops, building a loyal following along the way.

After taking a break in 1999 to start a family, she decided to change the way she worked and started slip casting, staying true to the humorous animal themes that had proven so popular. Joining forces with a Sri Lankan manufacturer, she produced her first tableware collection in 2011. Able to concetrate on design, she expanded her range into eggcups, salt and pepper sets and beyond, combining her love of sculpture with more functional design. This has proven extremely popular and has helped the business expand into what it has become today.
