Originally used in her Ponytail Journal blog, designer Lauren Yates used the phrase W'menswear to describe workwear that is accidentally sexy.

She started the label in 2015 to produce clothing that fit this description - hard-hitting garments for hard-hitting women. Each collection acknowledges the history of workwear and its longevity whilst exploring exquisite and rare slow-made materials. W'menswear also aim for a deeper relationship with life - the materials they use, the people who breathe life into their products and the life of their garments once they leave their hands.
